2025 Year-End Awards
2025 Year End Awards
December is traditionally a month for giving, and as the year draws to close we are pleased to announce three awards made to local pubs.
Most Improved: Royal Oak, Stockingford

Since taking over Royal Oak in 2024, Tamzin & Jason have made steady progress in revitalizing the pub, with regular entertainment and sporting fixtures.
Community: Miners Arms, Stockingford

The Miners has always been an often-missed community gem. Located off the Whittleford Road, the Miners really does punch above its weight. Tim Healy, who took over last year, has made great steps forward, not only by featuring locally brewed LocAle beers from Church End and Sperrin, but also introduced regular themed events and entertainment, and has become a valuable asset to the community.
Charity Fundraising:The Horseshoes, Nuneaton.

The Horseshoes seems to go from strength to strength with landlord Matt Sherington engaging with some extreme charity fundraising events. Not satisfied with kayaking the 100-mile canal route around the midlands last year, but has successfully hiked, unsupported, the entire, 177 mile length of Offa’s Dyke and joined members of the George Eliot Hospital in ascending Mount Toubkal, the highest mountain in North Africa (13,671 ft). They also entered a float in the Nuneaton Community Carnival, for which they were judged Best Float.
Congratulations to Matt and the team.
